Class Assignments

Class Assignments

After reading through the core assignments and extra credit opportunities in this class, I'm excited to get started. With the storytelling assignments, I feel that my creativity will be tested. As a PR major, creativity is important so this will be good practice. In previous classes, I've had to comment on other people's discussions, which is similar to commenting on others' blogs. The storytelling and overall project's will likely challenge me, but I plan to tackle them with a growth mindset!

Growth mindsets are often thought of as a sprouting plant, while fixed mindsets are seen as a lock.

I'm intrigued by the Growth Mindset, HEART and Famous Last Words extra credit options. These will challenge me to reflect on how I'm doing throughout the semester, and will be fun to read at the end of the year!

  1. Growth mindset is SUCH a powerful theme in storytelling... one of the growth mindset challenges for extra credit, in fact, is to look at the stories you are reading in class in terms of growth mindset: which characters have a growth mindset? who is stuck in their fixed mindset? how do they respond to mistakes and criticism? It's a powerful theme for understanding life AND for constructive/analyzing stories! :-)
