Storybook Favorites
After browsing through many storybooks, I have identified three of my favorites.
Storybook Favorite #1: Queen of the Underworld
After reading through the introduction of this storybook, I was very intrigued on what the stories would have to offer. Greek gods and goddesses have always been interesting to me, and in this storybook introduction she identifies that many people know her husband, but not her (which was true for me). I know a little about Greek gods and goddesses, but this introduction made me want to know more. The layout of the site is easy to navigate, which helped. Overall, I think this was laid out well; however, I'm not sure this is the way I would lay mine out.
Storybook Favorite #2: Murders in the Bible
This storybook immediately caught my attention because of its title. As a Christian that believes in the Bible, I wanted to know more immediately. This website uses fonts and photos that match the storybook's overall theme, which made it even more intriguing to me. The introduction was undoubtedly an attention-grabber: I found that I couldn't stop reading until it was over. I like the way this one is set up, and it's very familiar to the first on the tabs it has for stories and the introduction. I will definitely look back to this storybook when creating my introduction because it was so enticing.
Storybook Favorite #3: Mermaidsonly.com
To be honest, I picked this storybook because of its name. After looking at the website, I think this one's hilarious! Online dating is so common these days, so creating a mermaid online dating website was relevant and funny. The pictures and testimonials used make the whole storybook seem real, and the navigations are easy to follow.

This is a screenshot I took from the storybook mermaidsonly.com of one "testimonial" from the website -- hilarious, and almost believable!
These three storybooks have made me excited to create my own and channel my inner creativity. I plan to use Weebly to create my storybook so it can be easily navigated!
This looks great, Demery! I am glad you saw the variety here from the comical to the very serious (that Bible murders Storybook was so intense!) ... and Weebly is a great platform to use for a project. Here's a Weebly project someone did in Indian epics a couple of years ago: Shreemati News; it turned out really nicely!
